5 fun things to do this weekend

“The Great Gatsby”: The College of Central Florida’s Theatre Department presents its version of the classic novel at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and at 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the College of Central Florida’s Dassance Fine Arts Center, 3001 SW College Road, Ocala. Seventh annual Habitat Ocala Strawberry Festival: The festival, presented by Florida Express Environmental, will take place 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the McPherson Governmental Complex, 601 SE 25th Ave., Ocala. Horse Capital Parade: A downtown parade on Saturday for all to enjoy an up-close and personal time with horses on Ocala’s downtown square, presented by Live Oak International in conjunction with the Ocala CEP equine initiative. Spectators are invited to meet a variety of equine breeds and disciplines, plus a dramatic ending with the authentic Budweiser Clydesdales. Vendor village downtown with activities, a beer garden with music, horse petting area and photo opportunities begin at 1 p.m.; parade begins at 4:30 p.m. Free.
