The Ben in downtown West Palm kicks off its weekly ’Pup Brunch’ and Cafe Centro in Northwood has a monthly ’Puppies and Prosecco.“
What's better than bottomless mimosas at brunch? Sipping your brunch cocktail with your pup at your side. Dog people, we know this. And restaurants have gotten hip to the fact. I mean, move over, daytime dancing on the bartop - pooch-friendly brunches and food events for animal-loving causes are all the rage now.
You can experience the wave Saturday, when the new Ben Hotel in downtown West Palm kicks off its weekly "Pup Brunch" at its main restaurant, Proper Grit. I expect it will be quite the happy-canine scene on the restaurant's pet-friendly patio, since the Saturday green market will be in full swing at nearby Waterfront Commons. For your very good girl or boy, there will be an ice-sculpture doggy fountain, treats, water bowls and dog groomers onsite. For humans, there are cocktail specials, live music and, of course, a full brunch menu. When the check arrives, you'll be offered the chance to add a donation for Peggy Adams Animal Rescue. The doggie brunch goes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday. For reservations, call 561-461-0040. (The Ben Hotel is at 251 N. Narcissus Ave., West Palm.)View this post on Instagram
On Sunday, Northwood's Cafe Centro celebrates its monthly "Puppies and Prosecco" brunch, which is quite a bargain: a three-course brunch with a split of fizzy wine for $30. Plus, your pup gets house-made biscuits. Brunch goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations are suggested, though not required, at 561-514-4070. (Cafe Centro is at 2409 N. Dixie Highway, West Palm.)
