Learn how to cook like a cowboy at three branches of the Volusia County Public Library system in February.

• The Cookbook Club, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, Edgewater Public Library, 103 Indian River Blvd. Share Tex-Mex recipes by choosing a recipe from a preselected cookbook to made at home and bring to share with the group. The book is available at the library’s circulation desk.

• Make a Cactus Rock Garden and try a Chuck Wagon Chili recipe, 1:30 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 21, Lake Helen Public Library, 221 N. Euclid Ave. To register, call 386-228-1152.

• “What’s Cooking at the Library?” 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Ave. Staff will demonstrate hearty, stick-to-your-ribs western fare.

Free wine tasting

There will be a free wine tasting from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., every Wednesday, at Heath’s Natural Foods, 600 E. Third Ave., New Smyrna Beach. Hosted by Elaine DeJesus. Featuring organic, biodynamic, sustainable farming, no sulfates added from all over the globe. For information, call 386-214-9119.

American Legion offers homemade meatloaf

American Legion Auxiliary, 4497 U.S. 1 in Edgewater, will offer a homemade meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16. Cost is $8. Lilian Place History Winedown
