Five Guys has a small menu consisting primarily of burgers, fries and shakes. Other options include hot dogs, grilled cheese and vegetarian selections.
Five Guys is a bustling quick-service eatery with free peanuts available for diners while they wait. Themed like an old-time diner, the restaurant is accented with checkered red-and-white tiles for a nice nostalgic feeling. The Downtown at the Gardens location is not large, but turnover is quick and tables are readily available.
Our favorite food/price
Bacon cheeseburger all the way ($8.29). Come hungry. This burger consists of two patties and two strips of bacon topped with American cheese. Toppings include lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, mayo, mustard and ketchup. Little (one-patty) burgers with choice of toppings are available for the less ambitious.
Reason to go
It’s all about the burgers. Five Guys makes its burgers fresh to order, and they do it right. Ours were tender, juicy and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of char. Add a generous helping of hand-cut fries, and you have a burger lover’s bliss. Area locations include Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Wellington, Jupiter,
Five Guys offers counter service, and it was quick.
While the eatery is not noisy, it’s a busy restaurant full of families with kids. People are frequently moving about to get their food or use the fountain drink station.
Absolutely. Burgers, hot dogs, fries and grilled cheese are dining staples for most kids, including my own.
