Daytona Beach Lifetree Café

Lifetree Café, 142 Fairview Ave., Daytona Beach, will explore how to prioritize what's important before, during and after near-death experiences at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8. The program, titled "10 Minutes to Live: Now What?" features a filmed interview with Rick Bundschuh, a pastor in Hawaii who received an alert of incoming ballistic missile in 2018.

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1401 W. New York Ave., DeLand, sponsors Lifetree Café, an hour-long interactive video experience featuring discussions about topics faced in daily life. This week’s topic is titled “10 Minutes to Live: Now What?"

• 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, First Christian Church Library. Dorothy and Paul Ashton will host.

• 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, Grand Villa Activity Room, 350 E. International Speedway Blvd., DeLand. Mimi Carter and Tanna Gartside will host.

• 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, Downtown Artisan Lounge, 215 S. Woodland Blvd., DeLand Jerry Drooker will host.

First UMC starts four-week session

First United Methodist Church, 115 E. Howry Ave., DeLand, will host Wednesday Night Impact at 6:15 p.m. beginning Sept. 11. The four-week study will focus on Emmaus Ministries and will include an entire Bible overview.

Asa Quinn will lead the youth Bible study and activities, and Barbara Stricklin will lead the children’s group. Childcare is also available. Reservations are only required for those who attend the dinner, which takes place at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is $5 person with a family paying no more than $15.
