LAKE WALES — The Lake Wales Police Department arrested a Lake Wales man Thursday accused of stealing about $170 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart on Saturday.

Beau Pike faces charges of grand theft, said Deputy Chief Troy Schulze of LWPD. Joseph Romine is still at large.

About 8:30 p.m. Saturday Wal-Mart's loss prevention officer witnessed the two take two Arlo HD Security Camera Systems, remove the security devices and then leave the store at 2000 State Road 60 E., reports said.

The loss prevention officer attempted to stop them but they left in a silver SUV.

Pike was arrested after a detective received a tip identifying the two suspects as Pike and Romine.

Anyone with information on where Romine is should call 863-678-4223 Ext. 265 or Heartland Crime Stoppers at 800-226-8477, which may make the caller eligible for a reward.
