Man, 42, was found at home and taken to a hospital.

PALMETTO — A suspect in the Thursday robbery of a Wells Fargo bank was arrested early Friday morning, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports. He was identified as Kevin Potts, 42, of Palmetto.

Potts was charged with armed robbery. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of a suspected drug overdose.

According to reports, on Thursday a man wearing a baseball cap, a gray long-sleeve shirt and black pants was sought in connection with a bank robbery in Oneco.

The man reportedly walked into Wells Fargo bank, 404 53rd Ave. W, at approximately 1:30 p.m., and handed the teller a note demanding money. He took an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank.

The robber implied he was armed, the Sheriff’s Office said. There were no injuries.

Shortly after the Thursday bank robbery, detectives developed Potts as a suspect. Deputies went to his his last known address in Palmetto where he was located and arrested.
