Nancy Leigh Duckworth was arrested after driving a girl with drugs in her vehicle, according to an Alachua County Sheriff's Office arrest report.

A Gainesville woman was arrested Thursday and charged with child neglect, according to an Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Arrest report.

Nancy Leigh Duckworth, 58, was driving April 14 with a teenage girl who was in immediate proximity to a purse with cocaine, Suboxone and other drug paraphernalia.

The girl told law enforcement she knew drugs were in the vehicle and tried to help Duckworth hide them.

On April 19, the girl tested positive for cocaine, barbiturates, tetrahydrocannabinol and amphetamines.

During a phone call from jail, Duckworth told her, “Make sure you throw away everything,” the report says. Deputies believe Duckworth told the girl to destroy evidence.

Duckworth was held in Alachua County jail on $110,000 bond.
