Rodney Patrick Cobb was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery and cruelty toward a child after witnesses saw him push a woman and hit her son.
A Gainesville man was arrested early Monday after police say he assaulted a woman with a knife.
Rodney Patrick Cobb, 46, pushed a woman to the ground and was seen by witnesses grabbing a kitchen knife, according to an Alachua Police Department arrest report.
The woman’s son heard Cobb threaten to kill someone, police say. Cobb hit the woman’s son, and the son then called 911.
Cobb was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery and cruelty toward a child. He was held in the Alachua County jail, bond set at $20,000.
