LAKELAND – BB&T bank will close its branch office at 3350 Harden Blvd. in Lakeland on Dec. 8, according to a company spokesman.
“We do not take the decision to close a financial center lightly,” spokesman David White said. “Based on many factors, including client usage patterns, the decision was made to close this branch.”
All branch employees will be transferred to other offices, he added. BB&T will have four other branch locations in Lakeland, including the downtown office at 114 N. Tennessee Ave., and a Winter Haven branch.
Customers can also handle many banking transactions through the bank’s Phone24 service at 800-226-5228, online banking at BBT.com or its digital banking platform, U by BB&T.
