WINTER HAVEN — Lego Ninjago Days is among the new events for 2018 in a lineup announced Wednesday by Legoland Florida Resort.

Lego Ninjago: Master of the 4th Dimension, a new “4-D” attraction, is scheduled to open Jan. 20. The presentation in the Wells Fargo Fun Town Theater combines three-dimensional computer animation and real-world effects as a group of ninjas must make their escape.

Lego Ninjago Days, based on a ride at the theme park, is a new event to be held on weekends starting Jan. 20.

Legoland will debut its virtual-reality roller coaster, the Great Lego Race, in spring 2018. The ride transforms the existing Project X coaster into a new experience featuring Lego minifigure characters.

The park will unveil new Star Wars models made from Lego bricks at an event May 4. The models will reflect moments from Episode VII of the “Star Wars” saga.

Legoland continues several established events, among them the Brick Dash 5K (April 14), Lego Star Wars Days (in May), a Fourth of July celebration, Brick or Treat (October), Christmas Bricktacular (December) and a New Year’s Eve party for kids.

Kidz Bop weekend returns for its second year, with dates to be announced.
