OCALA - A popular eatery was robbed early Thursday by two men who escaped with an undetermined amount of cash.

No one was injured or hurt during the hold up at the Waffle House at 3921 E. Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala, which occurred shortly after midnight.

Witnesses told Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies that one of the robbers, armed with a handgun, pointed it at employees and said if they did not get some cash they would be shot. The other man opened a bag and ordered the employees to put the cash in it.

One they received some money, the robbers ran from the restaurant.
