When her youngest son started attending school full time, Paula Liebel started looking for a way she could supplement her family's income while also having the flexibility to be available for her children as needed.

The Palm Coast mom began looking into various work-at-home ideas and business possibilities and assessed her own talents and strengths.

“I have a passion for healthy living and helping people live healthier lifestyles," she said during a recent interview. "I am also passionate about family time and I see how hard it is for busy families to sit down to a home-cooked meal in the evening and share their stories of the day.”

Those passions led her to start up Goods2Go, a personal shopping and delivery service in Palm Coast, in 2015.

“I did some research on what other similar companies were doing and borrowed some of their ideas,” Liebel said. She also spoke with professionals at the Palm Coast Business Assistance Center. “They were very helpful with what I needed to do to get started."

To advertise and market her brand, Liebel personally distributed fliers and business cards around town, at vacation rental firms and through an online marketing service.

Regular customers can order once a week, every other week, once a month or any time in between, Liebel said. Together with a client she goes over a day and time for delivery and the client's preferred store or stores. Then the client gives her a shopping list.

Liebel's fees vary depending on the number of items are needed and how many stores she must visit. Fees start as low as $5 for a few items at one store on up to $80 or more for very large orders.

Liebel said Goods2Go also can help a client create a meal plan and shopping list for just $5. "We then shop at one of the grocery stores of your choice and deliver the goods at a pre-scheduled date and time to your home or office for just $10 plus the shopping fee,” she said.

She also works with vacation rental companies.

“In this plan, we coordinate with your vacation rental company and stock your kitchen for you before you arrive, barring complications with a prior tenant’s departure or cleaning schedule conflicts," she said. "You just let us know your vacation dates and rental information. Also, give us a list and we take care of the rest."

Liebel also offers a one-time service for those who are planning for a big get-together or just want to try out the service.

“You give us the list and we shop for you at one grocery store of your choice and deliver to your door at the prescheduled date and time for $20 plus shopping fee,” she said.

Liebel said she strives only to use cloth shopping bags and carries them to a customer's door at a pre-arranged time. For example, she said she delivers to one regular customer every Friday at around 12 or 12:30 p.m.

“I’ve used the Goods2Go shopping and delivery services for the last six months," said Carol King of Palm Coast. "I don’t like to shop so the purchasing and delivery services Paula Liebel provides are very convenient.”

Another client, Jesse Whitley of Palm Coast, said Goods2Go offers “delivery services that are very convenient and timely for the orders we place."

Through grocery shopping and delivery, Liebel said she is able to give families back some free time and keep healthier food in the kitchen, making fast-food less tempting and allowing people to avoid unhealthy impulse purchases at the store.

“Goods2Go.biz also offers meal planning services for people who struggle with ideas of what to cook and, therefore, what to purchase,” she said.
