The parades, festivals, lights and all things Christmas keep coming this weekend.

The action starts Friday with Light up Lady Lake, a Christmas-themed Art Splash in Mount Dora and a Hometown Christmas celebration in Fruitland Park.

On Saturday, Umatilla hosts the 42nd annual Cracker Christmas Parade and Festival, and the Mount Dora Police host the the Northeast Community Christmas Party.

Santa is a busy guy Saturday, but finds time to sit down with the kids at Cookies with Santa in Eustis, and Howey-in-the-Hills hosts a two day festival Friday and Saturday in Griffin Park.

Cracker Christmas Parade and Festival

The 42nd annual Cracker Christmas Parade & Celebration marches into Umatilla from 9 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Themed “A Florida Christmas,” the day begins with a dog jog at 9 a.m. and parade at 9:30 a.m. along Central Avenue. Cadwell Park hosts the festival with live entertainment, arts and craft vendors, food and children's activities.

Light Up Lady Lake

Santa will help the countdown to Lady Lake from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Friday at Log Cabin Park, 106 S. Old Dixie Highway. Activities include a flag ceremony, children's chorus, Santa and, of course, lots and lots of lights. Details: ladylake.org.

Christmas Festival

The Howey-in-the-Hills Christmas Festival covers two days from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 8 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Griffin Park, 100 S. Lakeshore Blvd. Both days include vendors crafts, food, games and entertainment. Friday features a Christmas carol sing-along, ugly sweater contest and they will announce the winners of the best decorated house. Saturday starts off with the Howey men's breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m., a 5K beginning at 9 a.m., car show, bake auction, Santa photos from 1:30 to 2:30 p.,m., dog costume contest and topped off with the parade along Lakeshore Boulevard.

Art Splash

Enjoy the Christmas lights as you stroll through downtown Mount Dora for a holiday-themed Art Splash beginning at 6 p.m. Friday. Emerging artists and performers will be outside businesses entertaining and selling their works.

Hometown Christmas

Hometown Christmas is the theme in Fruitland Park at 5:30 p.m. Friday at City Hall, 506 W. Berckman St. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be on hand for both naughty and nice kids, bounce houses, free food, DJ along with chorus and dance performances.

Wine and Chocolate Festival

The Lakeridge Winery's Wine and Chocolate Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards, 19239 N. Highway 27 in Clermont. New this year is the Chocolate Wonderland, an air conditioned tent with some of the areas top chocolatiers with their sweet confections and a wine bar. Take a wine tour and sample chocolates during the free winery tastings. Explore the craft vending area while listening to live entertainment. Cost: $8 and children 12 and younger are free. Advance tickets available at lakeridgewinery.com or at the door. A portion of the proceeds go to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida.

Pancakes with Santa

Join the Jolly One for Pancakes with Santa at Cottom Farm's Christmas Village, 4650 Marion County Road in Weirsdale from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Have breakfast with Santa and make a keepsake craft. Cost: $15. Registration: 352-751-4544.

Northeast Community Christmas Party

The Mount Dora Police Department is hosting the Northeast Community Christmas Party from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Martin Luther King Center, 803 Florida Ave. Activities include games, bounce house, music, food and, of course, Santa Claus.

Cookies with Santa

Santa is stopping in the Eustis Historical Museum, 536 N. Bay St. from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday to have cookies with the kids and have a picture taken with them. Free.

Mistletoe Trot 5K and 10K Race

Get in shape and do some good for the Community Medical Care Center in Leesburg at the Mistletoe Trot 5K and 10K Race 8 a.m. Saturday at Lake Sumter State College 9501 U.S. Highway 441 in Leesburg. Race day registration is 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. and costs $30. The run/walk starts at the college and takes participants around Silver Lake. Details: mistletoetrot5k10k.itsyourrace.com

Nutcracker Christmas Show

Watch a theatrical telling of the Nutcracker, with ballroom dance performances at the second annual Nutcracker Christmas Show 6:30 p.m. Saturday at at Anastassia Ballroom and Dance Studio, 32624 Blossom Lane in Leesburg. The evening includes a buffet style dinner and drinks and general dancing. Cost: $35. Registration: 352-533-7400.
