LAKEWOOD RANCH — An office building in this bustling community just sold for $2.2 million.
The Ascom building, 9024 Town Center Parkway, was listed last fall for $2.64 million.
The two-story, 18,524-square-foot building has been anchored since 2012 by Ascom, a health care communications company.
The 1.9-acre property was purchased by DJ Swamp II Properties LLC, a company headed by David E. Sessions, president/CEO of Willis Smith Construction, and David M. Carey, the contractor's chief financial officer.
The seller was EM Squared LLC and Louann Holdings LLC, two Lakewood Ranch companies managed by Louis and Ann Marie Marinaccio. Louis Marinaccio founded MGA Insurance Group, which he sold in 2014 to Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
Ian Black Real Estate of Sarasota had the listing for the building. That firm is marketing two other office buildings in Lakewood Ranch owned by the Marinaccios, including the Gallagher office.
