There are laws in Florida that fail and don't serve the public but do make money for the government. One example is the residential eviction laws. They help squatters and cause serious harm to property and financial damage to property owners. The tenant is not required to pay anything, but the landlord is.
Meeting with the legislature is a waste of time. I talked to Jennifer Sullivan in her office in Eustis, and as my representative, she did nothing and has simply ignored me for the last four months.
Elections are coming but we will get the same type of people running for office, mostly retired government workers looking for more money every month. They do nothing but make promises and lie to get elected. Every person working the eviction process knows that this law is horrible for the people that use it to get their property back from those that violate the contract they sign. We still have to get a judge to evict them and pay the Sheriff's Office to get them out. The rental contract is legal and the tenant should be made to sue the landlord if they feel abused.
We own the properties and we have had our ownership rights taken away by a state that has nothing to lose. We must get our rights back and we must eliminate a bad interpretation of law. Citizens need to unite. There are many other examples of government taxing, spending and fining but doing nothing to make this incompetent system better. They make lots of money and get special deals only for them. If you knew what kind of benefit packages government workers got you would surely rebel.
