Alachua County officials are looking for residents interested in serving as members of the county's School Planning Advisory Committee.
The group was established by the Alachua County Public Schools to review potential sites for new schools, proposals for significant school expansions and potential closure of existing schools, a county news release said.
The committee will submit recommendations to the Superintendent of Schools.
The SPAC meets on most Friday mornings from 10 until noon at the School Board's Fred Sivia Tech Support Center, 3700 NE 53rd Ave. in Gainesville. Information about the organization can be found on the School Board's website.
