One half of a suspected armed-robbery duo was picked up by Volusia County deputies, authorities said, while his partner in crime remains at large.
Jesse Adkins, 36, of Osteen, was arrested Thursday on charges that he used a stun gun to rob a DeBary man in his home.
He’s being held at the Volusia County Branch Jail on $75,000 bail.
Investigators say Adkins and Stephanie Campaign, 29, of Deltona, knocked on the door of a man’s house on Angeles Road around 2 a.m. March 17, waited for him to answer the door and then barged in while holding an active stun gun to his face.
Adkins accused the man of beating up someone and threatened him. After the man denied it Adkins demanded to know where he kept his “stash,” according to a report.
Adkins and Campaign left the premises with cash, a cellphone, a jar containing up to 4 grams of marijuana and a blue pocket knife, deputies said.
Campaign has a long arrest record that includes drug possession, robbery, grand theft and burglary. Detectives said she may be armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 386-248-1777. Those who want to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida at 1-888-277-TIPS or through the website westopcrime.com.
