B est movie I’ve ever seen: The Sandlot.

C oach Todd Bryant’s best words of advice for me: Compete.

D efeating what opponent has made me or will make me the happiest? Beating Chiefland is usually a big deal for us. Beating Frostproof (in regional final) this year made things a lot better.

Note: A 10-0 win over Frostproof advanced Trenton to its first state tournament in 22 years. The Tigers, ranked No. 1 in Class 1A, face Madison County in Monday’s state semifinals at Historic Dodgertown in Vero Beach.

E asiest part of my school day: Leaving.

F avorite type of music: Country.

G ators softball is … amazing.

H ow tough will it be for Trenton to win its first fastpitch softball 1A state title? It will be tough, we have a lot of competition. Madison is pretty good, but nothing we can’t handle.

I nteresting thing about me away from softball: I like going to the river.

J oker on the team: Definitely Lillian Wilkerson. There are not very many times that you can see her not joking around.

K ey to keeping my composure when things are not going well: Always having a good attitude, staying positive.

L east favorite sport to watch: Golf.

M y most memorable hit was when ... I had a two-run double when we played Frostproof to kind of start off an inning.

N ickname? Jo Jo or Jo.

O ne person in my life who inspires me most: Definitely my dad. He’s been the key to getting me where I’m at. Coach Todd and quite a few helped me get where I’m at right now.

P otential college major: Kinesiology.

Q uiet-time activity: Sleeping.

R easons why Trenton has been so successful last three seasons? We have a lot of younger kids that like to work hard. They try to get better every day. They want to be the best.

S igning with Anderson University (South Carolina) was best for me because .... it’s away from home, away from everything here. It is just better.

T oughest moment of my high school career ... definitely losing to Chiefland last year in the regional final.

U nder-rated player on my team? Lillian Wilkerson. She has a lot more potential than what most people think she does. She works hard, and most people don’t see that.

V acation spot I love: Beach.

W ho has been the toughest pitcher you have faced and why? Alissa Humphrey from GHS. She has a really decent rise ball, she moves pitches in and out of the zone well. She is hard to keep up with.

X box, PlayStation or Wii? Xbox.

Y ear I was born: 2000.

Z oo animal I like most: The Tiger, because we are the Trenton Tigers.
