Gainesville Regional Utilities sent 19 employees and contractors to northern Florida Thursday to assist with Hurricane Michael restoration.
The team went to Chattahoochee, a city northwest of Tallahassee near the Georgia border, to repair electric poles and transformers, according to a GRU media release.
GRU is also planning to send water and wastewater crews to help with restoration efforts in the state’s panhandle.
The utility says a truck and staff from PDQ followed line crews Thursday morning. So they'll be eating well.
