Durbin Park complements blight
EDITOR: I never thought I would be writing a letter in support of the Durbin Park retail center. It is, of course, a duplication of shopping centers in large urban areas around the country. It complements the ubiquitous housing developments that are now a common sight — or should I say blight — around St. Augustine. I do have a wish for this project, however. May it keep the people off our roads and give us our sweet St. Augustine back.

Pardon me, but this is wrong
EDITOR: A seated President should not be allowed to pardon any person, found guilty of a crime that is a family member or any associate of the President in politics or business. A promise of a pardon, if indicted, is "Keep your mouth shut and we will get away with a crime." This is concealing evidence, an obstruction of justice to a crime.
The truth must prevail. The guilty must pay for their actions. Future Presidents would have the right to pardon if they so desire. If you agree, please write your Representatives in Washington, D.C. Their addresses are listed inside front page, lower left, of this newspaper.
