An Ormond Beach woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 4 near Deltona Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Tiler Theisen, 26, was driving in the left eastbound lane of I-4 at 8:45 p.m. just north of the Dirksen Road exit, said FHP spokesperson Lt. Kim Montes, when she made an "abrupt lane change to the right lane" and sideswiped a Volkswagon being driven by Joshua Carpenter, 41, of Casselberry.

Theisen's vehicle continued off the road and struck a concrete pillar, Montes said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation, Montes said.
