Authorities have identified a man who was hit and killed by a vehicle last week in suburban Lake Worth.


Angel Ramirez Gaspar, 21, died hours after he was hit by a car the night of Aug. 9 in the 2800 block of 6th Avenue South, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He was walking south across the eastbound lanes of 6th Avenue South when he stepped into the path of an oncoming Audi, a sheriff’s crash report said.


Gaspar was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he died the following morning. His last address is not known, the sheriff’s office said.


The driver of the Audi remained at the crash scene. The crash report does not indicate whether there are any charges pending.
