Brenden Dyer, 29, had a felony warrant from Colorado.
A man wanted in Colorado for violating his parole on several charges, including attempted escape and drug offenses, was arrested by Marion County sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday.
According to MCSO, a deputy checking a vehicle in a parking lot in the 9500 block of Southwest State Road 200 learned that the person believed to be using the vehicle was not authorized to drive it. That man, 29-year-old Brenden Dyer, had a felony warrant from Colorado.
A second deputy found him walking along SR 200 and stopped him, according to an arrest report. Dyer refused to give the deputy any information and was detained.
Sheriff’s officials checked Dyer’s record, which showed an active parole violation from Colorado’s Department of Corrections for attempted escape, distribution/manufacture/dispense/sale of a controlled substance, aiding escape and vehicular eluding, according to MCSO.
Locally, Dyer was charged with resisting an officer without violence.
