PALM COAST — The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in naming two new K-9s that are joining the agency following the retirement of K-9 Marko and K-9 Tag.

Dr. Caesar DePaço, Honorary Consul of Portugal to the state of Florida, donated both dogs to the agency after learning of the retirement of Marko and Tag, according to a media release from the Sheriff’s Office.

“We cannot thank Dr. Caesar DePaço enough for this very generous donation and great additions to our team,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in the release. “We are excited for these two new deputy K-9s to get to work, but first we need to find names for them! We look forward to seeing what names are submitted.”

Name suggestions for the new K-9s can be submitted on the FCSO Facebook or by emailing NameThatK9@flaglersheriff.com. Submission deadline is Sunday, and the new names will be announced on Monday.
