Here are three things to do this weekend in Boynton Beach.

1. Get the scoop on free ice cream. Capping off a week of frozen deals, Carvel in Boynton Beach is celebrating its second anniversary Thursday with free junior-sized ice creams. From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., guests can scoop up four free ounces of soft serve in cups or cones at the city’s Carvel, 121 1/2 N. Congress Ave. With questions, call the shop at 561-877-2284 or send an email to carvelboynton@gmail.com.

2. Check out fall programming at the Boynton YMCA. For a peek at the upcoming fall season, the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA of Boynton Beach, 9600 South Military Trail, is hosting an open house Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be giveaways, activities for kids and parents and demos of fall programs, including swim lessons, dance, basketball and youth flag football. Prospective members who join Boynton’s YMCA through Aug. 17 will dodge the joining fee and save up to $99. Boca’s YMCA is hosting a similar event. With questions, call 561-738-9622.

3. Indulge in eats and arts in Boynton and Delray. The restaurants, murals and kinetic art projects of Boynton Beach and Delray Beach will take center stage Saturday on a three-to-four-hour walking tour down Federal Highway. The Taste History Culinary Tour will embark at 11 a.m., after a bus picks up participants outside Macy’s at the Boynton Beach Mall, 801 N. Congress Ave. Restaurants where on-tour tastings will occur will be announced day-of. The average Saturday tour size is 10 to 18 people. With questions, call 561-638-8277.
