Levy County sheriff's deputies say Wayne Denver Bailey, 42, of Trenton, robbed a Citgo Stop-N-Go at knifepoint.

The knife-wielding robber at a Fanning Springs convenience store was described as wearing a pink top and black shorts and multiple tattoos.

Levy County sheriff's deputies responding to the robbery cordoned off the area around the Citgo Stop-N-Go at 8731 NW 174 St. and soon found someone matching that description.

A clerk identified the man — Wayne Denver Bailey, 42, of Trenton — as the robber who held up store shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday, running out with beer, cigarettes and cash, according to the Levy County Sheriff's Office.

Bailey was arrested on charges of robbery with a weapon, aggravated assault with a weapon and theft. He remained in the Levy County Jail Wednesday in lieu of $275,000 bail.

He had been released from prison in March after serving time for carjacking. He listed a Gainesville address at that time.
