MAIL DELIVERY: The U.S. Postal Service announced Wednesday it would resume mail deliveries in ZIP codes beginning with the three-digit codes of 334 and 349. Service was suspended Tuesday while Hurricane Dorian passed by South Florida.
RETURNING HOME: The mandatory evacuation order was lifted as of 4 p.m. Tuesday, so folks who live on barrier islands and in mobile home parks can go back home.
SCHOOLS: Public schools will resume Thursday. Athletic contests are canceled for the rest of the week though practices will resume. Catholic schools are following the lead of the public schools on resuming classes. Spanish River Christian School in Boca will also resume Thursday.
COLLEGES: Florida Atlantic University and Palm Beach State College classes will resume Thursday. At Palm Beach Atlantic, undergraduate day classes won’t resume before Monday.
GARBAGE PICKUP: Garbage collection in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Wellington, Boca Raton and in unincorporated areas of the county is set to resume Wednesday. In Boynton Beach, residential pickup starts again Thursday.
GROCERIES: All Publix Super Markets from Palm Beach County to Indian River County have reopened.
AIRPORT: Palm Beach International Airport has reopened, the airport said in a tweet posted at 10 a.m.
COURTS: Courts are closed Wednesday.
SHELTERS: Shelters will remain open until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
