CF, courthouse, court system open again

The College of Central Florida, the 5th Judicial Circuit court system, the Marion County Courthouse and the clerk's office will all re-open today.

'A Moment with the Classics'
The Ocala Christian Women's Connection invites ladies to attend the "A Moment with the Classics" luncheon on Sept. 24 at the Ocala Hilton. The feature this month is music by classical pianist James Williams. Lynn Perkins from St. Augustine is the speaker and will share her story "The Good, the Bad, and the Hungry." The luncheon is $22. Community Harvest Baptist Church will celebrate its 20th anniversary homecoming on Oct. 6. The College of Central Florida is conducting Health Sciences program information session. Potential students must attend a session before applying to any of the programs. Pastor speaks on sanity and accountability

Hal McSwain, pastor for 12 years of Ocala's First Congregational United Church of Christ, will discuss the nature of sanity and accountability during the next Friday Forum of Marion County program, set for 11:30 a.m. Sept. 13 at the Golden Corral, 2111 SW State Road 200, Ocala. A member of the Bridges Project on Race Relations from its inception, and former president of the Interfaith Alliance, McSwain currently serves on the Sheriff's Citizens Advisory Committee. Zumba for a good cause

A Zumba Party will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Holiday Inn & Suites banquet room, 3600 SW 38th Ave., Ocala, to benefit the Stuff the Bus campaign. Cost is $15. This is described as a "tutu party," and people are asked to show their school spirit with a colorful tutu. There will be amazing instructors, vendors and more.
