1. Concert in the Court: Downtown at the Gardens will host its Concert in the Court series beginning at 6 p.m. Friday. The Other Guys are scheduled to perform. Weekly concerts will be held from 6-9 p.m. every Friday through Nov. 22 (there is no show Oct. 11). Admission is free. Guests can enjoy live music from local bands in genres such as country, today’s hits, rock-n-roll, 80s and more. 2. Educational Reef Program: John D. MacArthur Beach State Park at 10900 Jack Nicklaus Drive in North Palm Beach will host an Educational Reef Program at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Nature Center Theater. Participants will learn about fish and other inhabitants near the park’s shore reef through a presentation and discussion. After the program is over, participants will be taught where to snorkel in the park. Bring snorkel equipment. A diver down flag is required for snorkeling activities, and can be rented daily at the Beach Outfitters Gift Shop for $5 plus deposit. The program is free with park admission. 3. Author meet and greet: Authors Donna Carbone, David Mallegol, Patricia Benedetto, Patty Perrin, Felecia Clarke and Terri Collica will participate in a “Novel Approach to Literacy” meet-and-greet program at 3 p.m. Wednesday at La Bamba Restaurant, 730 U.S. 1, North Palm Beach.
