Traffic was being diverted from Northeast Fourth Street Thursday morning after a fatal train crash.

DELRAY BEACH — A woman was fatally hit by a Brightline train Thursday morning in Delray Beach, city police say.


The southbound train crashed near Northeast Fourth Street shortly before 8 a.m., police said.


Authorities say it appears she died by suicide.


Police diverted traffic from Northeast Fourth Street as they investigated the wreck.
