Demetrius A. Wright, 20, is awaiting trial for second-degree murder in the death of June Hugo.

An Ocala man arrested earlier this year in connection with the 2018 shooting death of an 18-year-old man is back behind bars for violating a condition of his bail.

Demetrius A. Wright, 20, is awaiting trial for second-degree murder in the death of June Hugo. Hugo, of Williston, was shot in the head, torso and left hand on Oct. 11, 2018.

On Thursday, Circuit Judge Anthony Tatti granted a motion revoking his bond, and Wright was sent to the Marion County Jail.

Assistant State Attorney Bryon A. Aven sought the revocation after cellphone videos showed Wright with guns in his possession. At his first appearance in front of a judge in late January, Wright was ordered not to have any firearms, weapons or ammunition while out on bail.

A second suspect, Calvin Denard Epps, 21, was charged with principal to second-degree murder for the same incident. Epps was recently found guilty of witness tampering.
