• The Reverend Dr. Charles J. Wiggins has announced his retirement effective Dec. 31, after a pastorate of nearly 24 years at Trinity Presbyterian Church in South Venice. Ask him what has brought him the most satisfaction in his time at Trinity Church and without skipping a beat he says two things: “First, preaching and teaching from the Scriptures. Second, serving such a marvelous group of believers who are so receptive to the word of God.” Reverend Wiggins’ last sermon as pastor will be Nov. 10.

• Crafty Ladies.
