VMA Swap Meet and Bike Show


The Vintage Motorcycle Alliance is hosting the 9th annual International Vintage Motorcycle Swap Meet and Bike Show this Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 2101 N Count Road 452 in Eustis.


The event offers motorcycle enthusiasts an opportunity to display their bikes for collectors, builders and restorers.

Parents Night Out


It’s that time of month again when parents get the opportunity to have a night out thanks to the Leesburg Recreation Department. Kids ages six to 12 can be dropped off Friday night at Rogers Park, 610 S. 9th St. in Leesburg, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a night of fun featuring a pizza dinner, board games and the movie “Jumanji.”


The cost is $10 per child, with registration required.

Jungle Feast


Join the Trout Lake Nature Center team on Friday at 5:30 p.m. for the second annual Jungle Feast, a fundraiser to benefit the center featuring exotic foods, live animal interactions, entertainment and more.


The event will be held at the Florida Elks Youth Camp, 24175 SE Highway 450 in Umatilla.

First Friday Food Truck


Clermont’s monthly First Friday Food Truck festival will take place this Friday in historic downtown Clermont starting at 5:30 p.m. It will feature 16 local food trucks with crafters, vendors, a kids zone and downtown shopping.


Live entertainment will be provided by “Shadow Cabinet.”

First Friday Street Party


Eustis will also host their monthly street party on Friday beginning at 6 p.m. Enjoy all the sights of downtown Eustis with live entertainment, vendors and shopping.

Film on the Farm


The Lazy H, 23708 County Road 44a in Eustis, is hosting their family-friendly event “Film on the Farm” Friday at 6 p.m. The big screen will show “Frozen 2” and the baby goats are ready to play.


Feel free to bring blankets and chairs. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.


Entree fee is a $5 suggested donation.

Fruitland Park Cornhole Tournament


The city of Fruitland Park is hosting a city-wide cornhole tournament on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fruitland Park Community Center, 506 W Berckman St. There will be a cash prize for first place.

8th Annual Alzheimer’s Family Support Walk


Walk for a cause at the 8th annual Alzheimer’s Family Support Walk on Saturday at 9am at The Villages Polo Club, 703 N Buena Vista Blvd.


People can choose to walk .25 miles or 1.5 miles in support for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia.


Kids five and under are free, six to 12 are $10 each and 13 and older are $20 each.


Teams can compete for the most walkers and the most spirit.


Registration begins at 8 a.m., opening ceremony at 9 a.m. and walk begins at 9:30 a.m.

3rd Annual Big Orange Day


Sensational Farms, 40541 Roger Giles Rd. In Umatilla, is hosting their 3rd annual Big Orange Day with fun for the whole family.


The store and food trucks open at 11 a.m. with carnival games, bee train, scavenger hunt maze, face-painting and ice cream beginning at 1 p.m.


Then at 5 p.m., the Umatilla Chamber of Commerce is hosting a chili and BBQ cook-off with live music there at the farms.


There is no cost to attend the afternoon events. Tickets for the chili cook-off will be available at the gate.

Mardi Gras Kids & Pet Parade


Dress up your furry friend and head on over to the Lake Square Mall, 10401 US Hwy 441 in Leesburg, for a Mardi Gras Kids and Pet Parade on Saturday at 2 p.m.


The parade begins at the east end new entrance. Kids are encouraged to decorate wagons or strollers and dress in their best Mardi Gras attire.


After the parade, Wonderland Adventures will be hosting a Mardi Gras party with a two hour skate special of $5.99 for two hours.
