Futures Caribbean Party

FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools will host its annual Caribbean Party fundraiser from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at the Brannon Center, 105 S. Riverside Drive, New Smyrna Beach. The event, presented by Brown & Brown Insurance, will honor community leaders Bob and Sherri Lloyd. The tropical casual evening includes gourmet island cuisine by Chef Tom Papa; complimentary beer, wine and valet parking; guest emcees The Vibe Morning Show Hosts Tremble and Kaylee; live and silent auctions; a cruise voucher drawing; and an opportunity to visit with key business, civic and Volusia County School leaders interested in promoting and achieving educational excellence in Volusia County.

Individual tickets are $125 each; Volusia County Schools employees discounted tickets are $75 each (limit two); sponsorships also are available ranging from $500 to $5,000. Happy Wanderers walk event

Empty Bowls of West Volusia

The Neighborhood Center will host Empty Bowls of West Volusia from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, DeLand High School cafeteria, 800 N. Hill Ave. Enjoy a meal with friends and family while helping to eradicate hunger in West Volusia. Proceeds will support The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia’s emergency food bank and daily food pantry. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Ormond Beach Dems to meet

FLOW mobile to visit NSB library

Employees from Florida Licensing on Wheels (FLOW) mobile will be in the parking lot of the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19.

Drivers can renew or reinstate their license, change an out-of-state license to a Florida license, obtain an ID card, and purchase a duplicate license for a lost or stolen license. They also can purchase vehicle registration renewals and replacements, make address and name changes, register emergency contact information, and obtain or renew disabled parking placards. Written and driving tests will not be provided.

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles uses FLOW mobiles and tables around the state to make its services more accessible. Appointments are not required. For a list of document options and additional information, visit gathergoget.com.
