There have been several shootings this year and last on Brooklyn Road.

An 18-year-old Ribault High School athlete, one of four young men shot Sunday on Brooklyn Road, has died, his football coach confirmed Monday.

Antuan Deangelos Williams, whose address was listed as a couple blocks away, sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said its ShotSpotter system indicated over 30 shots were fired in an area where there has been other recent bloodshed. Witnesses said someone drove up and started shooting, wounding three others. The shooter or shooters drove away in a white Kia sedan.

Williams competed on the football and track and field teams.

Ribault head football coach Marlon White described the junior defensive end as a "really good kid, very energetic... every time I saw him he would talk about how excited he was about next season."
