Tuesday’s daily report from the Health Department shows no new reports of COVID-19 in Alachua County since Monday, when one new case was reported.


The total number of related deaths continues to stand at five, with no COVID-19 death here since April 21.


A total of 7,602 tests have been conducted so far, with 4% positive results. That’s just 77 more tests results although testing availability has now been extended to all residents.



Positive test results by city and town in Alachua County include 228 in Gainesville, 14 in Alachua, 11 in Newberry, seven in Hawthorne, with four in Waldo, three in Tioga and Micanopy, and one each in La Crosse, Santa Fe and Archer.
