The man lost control of the pick-up truck he was driving. The truck flipped multiple times and struck Elder Mary Newsome Hudson Church.
LADY LAKE — A 21-year-old Leesburg man died Monday evening following a single-vehicle crash, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release.
About 8:15 p.m., the driver, whose name was not released, was northbound on County Road 100, going toward County Road 100B.
The man lost control of the pickp truck he was driving "for unknown reasons," the release said. The truck flipped multiple times and struck Elder Mary Newsome Hudson Church. The driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to the release.
He died at the scene of the crash.
The release did not say whether alcohol played a factor in the crash.
