The 2020 Pathfinder Awards: Presented by The Palm Beach Post and in its 37th year, it hands out awards and scholarships to students throughout the area.

Not to be sidelined by a pandemic and the rules of social distancing, The Palm Beach Post will deliver Pathfinder scholarship packages totaling $171,000 to the region’s standout high school graduates this month.

As is the 37-year tradition, winners won’t be announced until the big day. Unlike years past, that announcement will be delivered by video May 20.

Some 542 students from private and public schools, including charter schools, in Palm Beach and Martin counties were nominated by their schools and interviewed by judges in their respective fields in March. The 54 first-, second- and third-place winners in 18 categories will be named that Wednesday evening at 7.

The good news is that there is no guest limit and no plane tickets or uncomfortable shoes necessary. Everyone will have a great view and get a glimpse of what the young adults of this community can do, followed by full coverage in The Palm Beach Post.

Check out past winners at our official Pathfinders page.
