The appearance was announced over Twitter with a promise of details on Thursday.

The Navy’s Blue Angels flying team plans to appear over Northeast Florida on Friday, the team said Wednesday on Twitter.

The city of Jacksonville posted the planned flight path on its Twitter account later Wednesday morning.

The team will fly south along the Beaches beginning at 11:40 a.m. before making its way inland toward downtown Jacksonville, south to Orange Park and looping up to Jacksonville’s Northside before flying over Arlington, Mandarin and Fleming Island as they exit the area around noon.

Residents are urged to watch the flyover at home and avoid congregating in large groups. Times for the flyover are subject to change.
