WEST PALM BEACH — A 41-year-old man was shot to death last week in his West Palm Beach home, recently released city police records show.

Citing an active investigation, police would not provide additional details about the killing beyond saying they are not searching for a suspect.

A neighbor, who asked not to be named due to fear of retaliation, heard a door slam early that morning and then someone fire about 10 shots, followed by a woman’s scream.

A woman who appears to have lived with Gibson declined to speak with The Palm Beach Post.

An obituary posted on Timothy E. Kitchens Funeral Home’s website states that Gibson is survived by six children, four siblings "and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other sorrowing relatives and friends."
