A St. Johns County man was arrested Tuesday after deputies found videos they believe he secretly recorded on his cell phone of a woman showering and changing clothes, according to a St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

Anthony Lee, 37, was charged with video voyeurism and released from jail on $5,000 bail Wednesday morning.

The victim’s name was redacted from an arrest report. According to the charging document, the woman made the allegations on April 27, telling deputies she discovered a cell phone hidden in a pile of clothes in her residence two days prior.

The phone was concealed inside a sock in which a hole was cut out for the camera lens. The victim told officers she found several 33-minute recordings on the phone, one of which showed her getting in and out of the shower. Lee could be seen removing the phone from its hiding spot and walking in before turning the camera off at the end of that recording.

Investigators set up a controlled phone call and recorded the victim confronting Lee about the videos. According to the report, Lee apologized to the woman and told her he knew he was wrong.

The victim later told deputies of past incidents during which she claimed Lee had come into her bedroom and crawled under her bed as she slept. She said she he’d also watched her change clothes from outside her bedroom window and wrote sexually explicit messages on her car in the past.

Deputies seized Lee’s phone and found five videos. One of the recordings shot from the woman’s bedroom showed her in the nude changing clothes. Another video in the bathroom showed her disrobing to take a shower. Lee could be seen on that recording retrieving the phone after the woman left the bathroom, investigators said.
