For nearly two weeks, voters can go to any one of 18 sites to vote early for the Aug. 18 primary.
Early voting for the Aug. 18 primary kicks off at 10 a.m. Monday with registered Palm Beach County voters able to cast ballots over nearly two weeks at 18 sites scattered throughout the county.
With early voting, unlike voting at polling places on election day, voters from anywhere in the county can cast ballots at any one of the sites. But they must be able to prove their identity and voting address to get the correct ballot.
To that end, voters must bring at least one valid form of identification that includes their signature and photo. Some acceptable forms of identification include a driver's license, a student ID, a U.S. passport, a Florida ID card, military ID or a government-issued employee ID.
Early voting hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Aug. 16. Election day polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 18.
The early voting sites are expected to open despite Hurricane Isaias, Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link said Thursday, the day her workers finished setting up the sites to avoid working over the wet and windy weekend.
"We’ll be ready at 10 a.m. Monday morning," she told The Post Thursday.
The election primarily involves choices for Democratic and Republican Party voters for such seats as county commission, Port of Palm Beach and state House and congressional races. However, the ballot also features judicial races and the elections supervisor’s seat, which are open to all voters regardless of party affiliation.
Voters also can request from the elections supervisor at pbcelections.org a mail-in ballot until Aug. 8.
