I would like to recommend Michael Dunn for the Southwest District seat in the Lakeland City Commission race.

Michael has served his country as a Marine, worked at and then purchased his business, Vets Surplus, raised his family and has been a part of the Lakeland community for many years. In addition, many people do not know he has served as a volunteer continuously for the past 10 years on the Nuisance Abatement Board, Citizens Advisory Committee and is presently on the Code Enforcement Board. Michael has consistently supported personal property rights.

Michael has spoken against millage rate increases and opposed the rental registration program. He has worked closely with the public safety community. He also served on the boards of Paint Your Heart Out Lakeland and Heartland Crime-Stoppers.

Michael has served the citizens of Lakeland for many years, mostly without any recognition. This man is prepared to be a city commissioner. His experience on the various city boards, in his small business and volunteering for charities gives him the knowledge to help Lakeland move forward.

Michael has been immersed and involved in our community. He went to school here, married and raised a son, owns a business and property and volunteers for the community. Lakeland needs new leadership on the City Commission, someone with the background of knowledge and understanding that Michael has accumulated over the last 10 years while serving Lakeland.

Please vote for Michael Dunn, City Commission, Southwest District.
