I’m not a fan of Gov. Ron DeSantis. I didn’t vote for him in the last election, and I probably wouldn’t vote for him in the next. But I do stand by his decision to not interfere with the way people worship. It is called separation of church and state. It is expressly written in our Constitution that people are allowed to worship as they please.

I’m thankful that my church is following the guidelines of social distancing. I have been able to sit in the safety of my home and watch as our pastor provides our Sunday service over the Internet.

I don’t applaud those pastors who continue to hold traditional services. They are putting their congregation at risk along with others. But that is their right according to our Constitution. Thank you, Gov. DeSantis, for putting our rights as American citizens to worship as we see fit first.
