The Saint Augustine Ballet will present its third-annual St. Augustine International Dance Festival beginning Thursday.

Dancers from four southeastern pre-professional dance programs will converge for three days of master classes, culminating in a closing gala performance at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at Flagler College’s Lewis Auditorium.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students, and may be purchased at the venue beginning one hour prior to the performance. Lewis Auditorium is located at 14 Granada St., St. Augustine.

“This is a great opportunity for gifted young artists from diverse backgrounds to come together, study with international teachers and perform together in this beautiful, historic location,” said Luis Abella, artistic director of Saint Augustine Ballet and the festival’s organizer.

Throughout the three-day festival, dancers will attend master classes with international guest artists in ballet, modern, partnering, choreography, character and Afro-cuban folklore dance.

Featured teachers include Victor Alexander, choreographer and artistic director of the Ruth Page Civic Ballet of Chicago, and several international teachers and professional dancers.

Master classes will be offered to intermediate and advanced dancers, aged 12 to 21, and will be held at Lewis Auditorium and Abella’s School of Dance in St. Augustine.
