The skinny: Sixth-seeded Florida opens against 11th-seeded St. Bonaventure, which beat UCLA 65-58 in a play-in game Tuesday night in Dayton, Ohio, for the program's first NCAA Tournament win since 1970. ... Courtney Stockard scored 26 points to lead three Bonnies in double figures. … Florida is 2-0 all-time against St. Bonaventure, including a 73-66 victory in November 2016. KeVaughn Allen is the Gators' only starter from that game who will play Thursday. He scored 16 points in the game, which was tied with under a minute left before Florida closed on a 7-0 run. Matt Mobley and Jaylen Adams, who was named Atlantic 10 co-player of the year this season, combined for 48 points in that game. … Florida has not played since losing to Arkansas in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament on Friday, which snapped a three-game winning streak. St. Bonaventure enters with wins in 14 of its last 15 games, including one over seventh-seeded Rhode Island. … The Bonnies were last in the NCAA Tournament in 2012, losing to Florida State in the first round.
