LAKELAND — Rodney Purvis finished the season in NBA with the Orlando Magic, but the Lakeland Magic standout made quite an impact in his G League debut.

Purvis was named to the G League All-Rookie team on Monday. The 6-foot-4 guard out of Connecticut averaged 20.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for the Lakeland Magic, which made the G League playoffs in its first year of play.

Joining Purvis on the All-Rookie team was Windy City’s Antonio Blakeney, South Bay’s Thomas Bryant, Westchester’s Nigel Hayes and Iowa’s Amile Jefferson.
