The Embry-Riddle baseball team defeated visiting Seton Hill, 16-8, late Tuesday.
The Eagles are 12-5. The Griffins are 7-3 and made six errors and committed 14 wild pitches.
Kelsey Ward (3-2) earned the victory for ERAU, pitching five innings and allowing two earned runs while striking out seven. Relievers Dillon Moran, Samuel Brunnig and Tyler Stufano closed out the game for ERAU.
Mike Lawson had four RBI on three hits for the Eagles. He also scored three runs. Robert Post finished 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Homer leads Stetson softball
For the second time in five days, Lizzie Shubert hit a walk-off home run to lift Stetson to a 2-0 victory over visiting Valparaiso on Wednesday.
Chloe Temples (7-6) pitched a one-hitter and struck out eight as the Hatters improved to 8-12.
With the game locked in a scoreless tie in the bottom of the seventh, Shubert blasted an 0-2 pitch over the right-center field fence to set off a celebration at home plate.
Molly McLaughlin got the rally started with a two-out single to left. She then stole second ahead of the game-winning homer.
Shubert also hit a two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the eighth inning against Bethune-Cookman on Saturday.
ERAU wins in women’s tennis
The Embry-Riddle women’s tennis team won, 6-1, over visiting Saginaw Valley State on Wednesday.
The Eagles are 5-1. Saginaw Valley State is 4-11.
Doubles winners for ERAU were: Georgina Wood-Robert Krvajica, Itxaso Blanco-Alexis Marshall and Sabrina Ehrenfort-Julia Mautner.
Singles winners for ERAU were: Krvajica, Mautner, Wood, Ehrenfort and Marshall.
